Shipley Birdwatchers Group was formed in 1988 to encourage birdwatching in the park and provide a local group where anyone with an interest could meet to enjoy and learn more about birds and wildlife.

 Talks are organised throughout the Winter months when the group meets at West Hallam Methodist Church Hall on the third Tuesday of the month. The talks are open to anyone interested in wildlife and £3.00 (£2.00 members) is charged to help cover the cost of room hire and speaker fees.

 Membership of the group costs £5.00 for individual membership or £8.00 for family membership per annum. Members benefit from a reduced charge at evening meetings (£2.00) and the Summer Evening Walks, Allday Outings and Tuesday Morning Walks Programmes.
