Welcome to the Shipley Birdwatchers web site - we are a friendly group based in West Hallam, Derbyshire. If you are interested in wildlife and are in the area why not come along and enjoy bird and wildlife talks, local walks and our monthly outings to interesting wildlife sites further afield.

Forthcoming Events:

Summer Evening Walks (Thursdays): meet at 7.30pm (except 6 May, 26 Aug and 2 Sept, meet 7.00pm).

12 August,      Elvaston Castle,      Park in layby past main gate

Tuesday Morning Walks: meet at 10am, leisurely walks, approx 2 hours.

3 August,     Shipley Park,     meet at Straws Bridge car park

All Day Outings: If you plan to join the group, remember to ring Trevor or John by the Thursday evening prior to the outing. An outing may be cancelled or the location changed if there are insufficient members interested.

25 September,   The venue will be decided in time for our September indoor meeting and will be chosen to give us a good chance of finding migrating birds.
